The Fourth Street Gallery's Short History Owners Debra Duncan and James Deschene opened the Fourth Street Gallery on March 3, 2008 following an invitation-only preview the day before. The Gallery's mission is to bring art to the community of Covington and the surrounding area, specifically, original creations of many dedicated and talented professional artists from Central Indiana and Illinois and beyond. The Gallery is located in a beautifully restored downtown building on the Courthouse Square in Covington, Indiana; Covington being the Fountain County seat. The Gallery showcases works in many facets of Fine Art such as paintings, drawings, pottery, jewelry, blown & fused glass, sculpture, wood carving, hand-woven scarves, and many other disciplines. The Gallery currently represents over 30 professional artists from throughout the region who specialize in their chosen fields. The owners have just finished refurbishing the lower level of the Gallery as a room for meetings and classes. Please see the Events Calendar and Gallery Classes pages for more information on happenings at the Gallery. Private and Corporate art lovers are encouraged to visit the Fourth Street Gallery and talk to Deb or Jim about adding some of our art to their collections.
The Gallery is also a great place to find those one of kind gifts for birthdays, weddings, graduations, and other special occasions. Shop the Gallery for those individuals who have everything; there's also something new and beautiful here.
